McNeese State's John Jamail posted a career best and Tim Guillory and DeAnn Washington were double event winners Thursday during the running of Lamar's Ty Terrell Relays.

Jamail won the shot put with a personal best of 56-3 and he also finished second in the hammer throw at 159-6.

Guillory won the long jump with a leap of 22-1 and took the triple jump at 43-2 1/4 while Washington won the women's shot put at 41-9 3/4 and took the discus at a season best 148-8.

Cowgirl sprint standout Christi McRae took another crack at the 100 and the 200 meter dashes in the meet. She finished third in the 100 meters at 11.94 and won the 200 meter dash in 24.34, a season best.

Also for the Cowgirls, Amy Aguillard finished third in the pole vault at 11-6, Amanda LeJeune won the javelin throw at 123-10 and Lindsay Brooks went 16-11 for second place in the long jump.

In the men's division, Freddie Hannie won the hammer throw at 184-4, Jacob Domingue was second in the discus at 137-4 and second in the shot at 46-6 1/4, Sean Brinson placed second in the 400 hurdles at 58.14, Dwight Charles ran third in the 200 meters at 22.56, Michael Washington finished third in the 400 metesr at 49.86.

This was the final tuneup for the Cowboys and Cowgirls prior to the Southland Conference championship meet in two weeks.
