Philadelphia, MS - Sigmundur Masson finished second individually and led McNeese State to a third place showing in the Jackson State intercollegiate golf classic here Monday on the Dancing Rabbit Golf Course.

Masson finished only one shot in back of champion Brad Stevens of Tennessee-Martin. The Cowboy senior shot even par 72 Monday to go with the one under par 71 he shot on Sunday.

As a team the Cowboys posted a 301 score to finish at 601. Tennessee Tech won the team title.

Other scores for the Cowboys on Monday had Brandon Eaton with a 75, Justin Ougel at 76, Cory Vincent 78 and Kyle Collins 82.

Eaton finished at 150, Ougel at 152, Vincent at 155 and Collins at 162.

The Cowboys will now have a whole month off before returning to action April 6-7 in the Centenary Classic.
