A total of 130 student-athletes, including nine with straight A grades, were named to the McNeese State president's honor list and to the honor roll for the 2007 fall semester.

Forty-two of the athletes were named to the President's honor list (3.50 or higher gpa with 15 hours) and 88 were named to the honor roll (3.00 gpa as full time students).

This means that 43 percent of the student-athletes at McNeese produced an honor roll gpa for the fall semester.

Producing perfect 4.00 gpa's were Trey Rountree from baseball, Ben Bourgeois in football, Valgeir Tomasson in golf, Amanda Hamilton in women's golf, Justeen Lords in soccer, Urska Dobersek in tennis, Anna Caffery and Erika Coleman in women's track and Lindsey Petzold in volleyball.

In a breakdown of sports, football had 32 named to the honor list, baseball had 23, soccer 15, women's track 11, men's track 10, volleyball nine, women's golf six, men's golf five, tennis five, women's basketball two and men's basketball two.
