Philip Tarver and Lake Charles Toyota make donation to McNeese Sports Information Department

March 3, 2008

Philip Tarver, the owner of Lake Charles Toyota, recently donated a StatView II system to the McNeese State Sports Information Office.

The StatView II system includes five viewing monitors along with a home base distributor. This system enables attending radio stations, members of the media and the coaching staff of each team to view up-to-date statistics as the game goes along.

It is a wireless system whose reception is good for several hundred feet.

The system is now being used at McNeese State basketball games and will also be used at football contests.

Tarver is pictured in front of two of the monitors prior to a basketball game at Burton Coliseum.

A longtime McNeese supporter, Tarver is also a past president of the McNeese Quarterback Club and his Lake Charles Toyota dealership is also the co-sponsor of Saturday's upcoming McNeese Cowboy Club/Lake Charles Toyota golf tournament.
