McNeese State's women's golf team returns to the course Monday and Tuesday when the Cowgirls travel to Hot Springs, Arkansas to take part in the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Golf Classic. The tournament will take place at the Diamante Country Club.

The Cowgirls are coming off a third place finish at the South Alabama Lady Jaguar Invitational two weeks ago.

Junior Maggie Welch leads the Cowgirls with a 77.0 stroke average. Welch has placed in the Top 20 in the Cowgirls' previous three tournaments and has placed in the Top 10 twice and Top 5 once. She is coming off a seventh place finish at the South Alabama tournament after posting a 153. Her lowest round this season is a 72 at the Cowgirl Classic.

Jennifer Herrmann

Jennifer Herrmann and Lacy McKinley both enter the tournament with a 79.0 average. Other Cowgirl averages have Mandi Hamilton with an 82.2, Jacy Reynolds at 82.6 and Randi Fischer with a 86.5 average.

Herrmann has finished in the Top 20 twice and her lowest round this season is a 74 at the Corpus Christi Ed Hicks Nissan Classic.

McKinley has two Top 20 finishes and one Top 10 finish this season. Her lowest round this season is also a 74 she shot in the opening round of the Cowgirl Invitational.
