Softball Host Louisiana Tech Wednesday Night

McNeese State's softball team (17-30) returns to action Wednesday night to host Louisiana Tech (24-23) in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.

The Cowgirls are coming off a 2-1 Southland Conference series victory over Southeastern La. last weekend.

Catcher Jenny Clay continues to lead the Cowgirls in seven offensive categories including a .372 batting average, .628 slugging percent, 45 hits, 14 doubles and 30 runs scored.

Designated player Rachel King is second on the team with a .295 batting average. First baseman Michelle LaVoie leads the team with 28 RBI's and has a .252 batting average. Shortstop Molly Guidry leads the team with six homeruns and is second on the team with 25 RBI's.

Louisiana Tech is led by Amberly Waits who has a .428 batting average. Waits also leads the team with 59 hits, 35 RBI's, 33 runs scored, seven doubles and seven home runs.
