Victoria Martinez Wins Only Cowgirl Match Of The Day
 
 
Tennis Team Falls 4-1 To Texas-San Antonio

HOUSTON, Tx.-- McNeese State's women's tennis team dropped a 4-1 Southland Conference match to Texas-San Antonio here Wednesday to fall to 7-11 overall and 2-7 in league play. The Cowgirls will conclude the regular season this weekend with matches at Central Arkansas Saturday (1 p.m.) and Northwestern State Sunday (10 a.m.).

McNeese State dropped the doubles point with losses at the no. 1 and no. 2 matches by 8-6 and 8-1 scores. The Cowgirls were behind in the third match 5-6 when it was stopped.

Texas-San Antonio went on to win three singles matches to win the overall match. The only victory for the Cowgirls came at the no. 2 singles where Victoria Martinez defeated Monika Drabkova 6-4, 6-1.
