McNeese State's Golf team returns to action when the Cowgirls travel to Corpus Christi, Texas to take part in the Ed Hicks Nissan Classic beginning today and ending Tuesday. The 11 team tournament field will begin at 8:15 a.m. both days with two rounds scheduled for today and a single round on Tuesday.

Other teams taking part are Southland Conference members Lamar, Sam Houston State, Texas State and Texas-San Antonio along with Oral Roberts, North Texas, University of Toledo, Texas-Pan American and McLennan.

Maggie Welch will lead the Cowgirls into the tournament with a 75.0 stroke average following the Cowgirl Invitational two weeks ago.
