Women's Tennis Will Host Texas-Arlington and Texas State This Weekend

March 7, 2008

McNeese State's women's tennis team (3-5, 0-2 SLC) returns home this weekend to host Texas-Arlinton and Texas State in Southland Conference matches. The Cowgirls will face Texas-Arlington (1-4, 1-1 SLC) at 10 a.m. today and Texas State (3-4, 1-1 SLC) at 10 a.m. Sunday. Texas State will play at Lamar today before facing the Cowgirls Sunday. The Cowgirls will be looking to pick up its first Southland Conference victory of the season.

Meri Alamo, the Cowgirls' no. 1 player leads the team with five wins on the season and has won four of her last six matches. She will be looking to pick up her first conference victory as well.
