Student Athlete Advisory Committee Takes Part In Southland Conference Project

Fourteen Members of the SAAC Take Part In Southland Conference Project

Dec. 5, 2007

McNeese State's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) took part in the Southland Conference's 12 days of Christmas Community Service Project Wednesday morning by providing clothes to the St. Mary's Baptist Church clothing closet. Fourteen student-athletes took part in the project which will help provide clothing to the needy in the Lake Area. The project is a conference wide SAAC project in which all conference schools chose to participate.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is a committee made up of student-athletes from each team assembled to provide insight on their experience. McNeese's SAAC serves as a conduit of communication among student-athletes, coaches, and athletics administrations on issues to improve the student-athlete experience and promote growth and education through sports participation. Concerns can be voiced and solutions offered regarding any issues that may be relevant to NCAA student-athletes.
