Cowgirl golfer Maggie Welch will receive her degree on Saturday after only three years. She will return next year to complete her athletic eligibility.
 
 
Twenty-three student athletes will graduate on Saturday

Among the graduates at commencement exercises for McNeese State on Saturday will be 23 student athletes.

This will give the Cowboys and Cowgirls a total of 30 graduates during the 2007-08 school year as seven of them graduated last December and then completed their athletic eligibility this spring.

Those picking up their degrees on Saturday are scheduled to be: Amber Click and Lindsey Petzold from volleyball, Cynthia Torres and Renee Landers from soccer, Brittany Boone and Joanna Klutarich from women's basketball, Carmen Sittig from softball, Maggie Welch from golf, Natascha Jongeneel from tennis, Justin LeBleu from baseball, Rorey Lawrence from men's basketball, Jimmie Heath, John Jamail and Freddie Hannie from track and field and David Ballard, Josh Bass, Kris Bush, Carlese Franklin, Neely Hubbard, Josh Hurd, Ken Jones, Kody Knox and Travis Thibodeaux from football.

Having graduated last year were Kyle Bull from baseball, Sigmundur Masson from men's golf and Jared Dolan, James Jordan, Darrick Brown, Jonathan Walker and David Turnage from football.
