Team to host send-ff event before heading to Florida for nationals

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland competitive cheer team will head to Virginia Beach this weekend to compete in the Challenge at the Sea, hosted by American Cheer Express. The Terrapins will perform Saturday evening.

Saturday will mark the Terps' last performance before heading to NCA Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Terrapins are two-time defending national champions, after claiming the title in 2006 and 2007.

The Terps will host a send-off event Monday at 7:30 p.m. before they head to Daytona Beach. The event will be held at the Comcast Center Auxiliary Gym and all are welcome to attend.

Maryland's other two cheer teams, the small intermediate coed and the small advanced coed, will also perform at the event before heading to Daytona Beach as well.
