Greensboro, Ga. - The University of Memphis men's golf team shot 296 as a team in the second round of the Linger Longer Invitational to move into a tie for sixth place. The Tigers started the day tied for tenth. Inclement weather approached with the final pairing on the 18th tee box, forcing round two to be suspended.

Senior Robbie Greenwell is the leader in the clubhouse after 36 holes. eight-under-par. Greenwell has shot a pair of 68's for a score of eight-under-par. Fellow senior Ian Rochester and junior Brad Benjamin are tied for 32nd with a two-round combined score of 149. Sophomores Brandon Bunn and Mark Trow have combined scores 153 and 160 respectively.

Greenwell has a one shot lead of J.T. Clendenin of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Clendenin is one of the players who was unable to finish the round. The University of Mississippi currently has a six stroke lead over Georgia and Tennessee-Chattanooga. Each of the three schools have one player who must complete round two before third round play begins.

The Tigers will wrap up play at the Linger Longer Invitational on Sunday.
