MEMPHIS - On a night that didn't feel like spring, the University of Memphis men's soccer team played the second game of its spring training schedule. The Tigers shut out Lambuth 4-0 at the Mike Rose soccer complex.

A first half goal by forward Brian Farrell resulted in the only goal of the half, and Memphis took a 1-0 lead to intermission.

The Tigers opened up the offense in the second half, scoring three times. The first goal of the half came n a header by Ryan Ruble to extend the Tiger advantage to 2-0.

The third goal came when Michael Colburn took the ball in the middle of the field and played it wide to Robert Sausaman, and Colburn who kept running down the middle field finished the play when he found the back of the net with a header.

Farrell set the final score at 4-0 when he connected with his second goal of the contest.

Memphis will return to action on Saturday, March 15 when the Tigers participate in the Tim McCage Cup at Rhodes College. The Tigers will play Christian Brothers University at 10 a.m. and Rhodes College at 1 p.m.
