Memphis dropped its road opener, 6-1, at No. 33 Vanderbilt, Sunday.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - The University of Memphis (2-2) men's tennis team dropped its road opener at No. 33 Vanderbilt, 6-1, Sunday. Freshman Leon Nasemann posted the Tigers' one point with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles, but that was all Memphis could manage as Vanderbilt won the doubles point, then used singles wins at No. 2, 1 and 5 to close out the victory.

The Tigers will have one full week before their next match, as the Tigers will host Rhodes College, Sunday, Feb. 10th, at 1 p.m. in a double-header with the Lady Tiger tennis team.
