MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Memphis women's soccer standout Vendula Strnadova will be competing for the Czech Republic Under 19 National team. Strnadova left on Tuesday to play for her home country for the second straight year.

Her team will be competing against the Switzerland U-19 team over the course of the week. The first game will take place on Friday, March 21 and the second game will be played on Sunday, March 23. By playing in these games for the Czech team, Strnadova hopes to have a good showing and get called up for the Czech Senior Women's National team.

Strnadova was a key figure for the Memphis women's soccer team this season as she had five goals, two assists and was the only freshman to have played in every single game. She has garnered numerous soccer awards this season including Conference USA Freshman of the Year, All-C-USA Freshman team, All-C-USA First Team, Soccer Buzz Central Region Freshman of the Year, Soccer Buzz Central Region All-Freshman team, Soccer Buzz Freshman All-Americas second team, Soccer Buzz Central Region first team, NSCAA/Adidas All-Central Region Second team.
