Brittany Gooch extended her hitting streak to three games with an infield single to third base in the third inning. Gooch slapped a 2-2 count down the left field line for the Tigers' first hit in the game.
Lindsay Kelso picked off Tiffany Lane on second in the fifth inning. The play came shortly after Kelso had nearly picked Lane off at first.
Kailey Kassner extended her hitting streak to a career best five games with a single to right field in the sixth inning.
Tori Gross, Leila Dolfo and Maddie McKinley all saw their hitting streaks come to an end. Gross' ended at a team season long nine games, while Dolfo's ended at seven and McKinley's at five. Kailey Kassner now has the team's longest current streak at five.
This is the ninth time this season Memphis has been shutout. The last time the Tigers were shutout was in the series opener against Southern Miss, 2-0, last week.
