IRVING, Texas - Memphis track and field standout Susan King was named Co-Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Female Athlete of the Week announced today. King shares the honors with UTEP' Keisha Walkes.

King won both the shot put and discus at the Ole Miss Invite in Oxford, Miss. over the weekend, while setting two NCAA Regional qualifying marks. She won the discus event by breaking her school record with a mark of 51.23m (168-01"). King also won the shot put with her second best throw of the season of 17.37m (57-00").

This is King's second athlete of the week honor this season.
