Male Athlete of the Week
Hudson Harrison, Wrestling

Senior Hudson Harrison became the third wrestler in school history to be an NCAA Division II national runner-up, placing second at the national championships this weekend and becoming an All-American for the first time. Harrison opened with a 13-6 win over Nebraska-Omaha's Aaron Denson and then defeated Wisconsin-Parkside's Kyle Becker to advance to the semifinals after day one. On day two, he stunned North Carolina Pembroke's J.J. Davis by pinning him in 4:53, an opponent who had defeated Harrison 9-3 just a week earlier. In the championship, Harrison suffered just his ninth loss of the season, a 8-2 defeat to Mankato's Andy Pickar.

Griepsma followed that up with a career-high seven goals and added an assist, two steals and two drawn ejections in a 15-5 win over Carthage.

Team of the Week
Men's Hockey

The Mercyhurst men's hockey team came up just short in its attempt to earn a bid to the NCAA Division I National Championships. Seeded No. 5 for the Atlantic Hockey Tournament, the Lakers defeated No. 4 seed Air Force 4-1 Friday and then stunned top-seeded Army 4-2 Saturday. Mercyhurst advanced to the championship game against No. 3 seed Air Force and the Lakers led on two occasions in the third period. Air Force came back to tie the game and send it into overtime. After a scoreless 20-minute overtime session, the Falcons finally ended the game with a goal just 56 seconds into the second overtime, ending Mercyhurst's run through the AH Tournament. Matt Pierce, Chris Risi and Jeff Terminesi were named to the all-tournament team.
