Male Athlete of the Week
Steve Grife, Baseball
Redshirt sophomore Steve Grife pitched two complete games this week, allowing just one earned run and striking out 17 batters to record two wins. He finished the season with the most wins (6) and best ERA (2.50) on the team, striking out more than one batter per inning. Grife gave up five hits in a 9-1 complete game win over Ashland. He then followed that up with 12 strikeouts, allowing just six hits in a sparkling 1-0 win over Northwood to complete the season.

Female Athlete of the Week
Breanna Haggerty, Lacrosse
Junior Breanna Haggerty had 11 goals and six assists in two games this week, finishing the season tied for the national lead in goals per game. She had five goals and four assists in just one half of a 22-1 win over Slippery Rock and followed that up with six goals and two assists against rival Gannon to conclude the season. She shattered her own school records for goals and points in a season with 75 goals and 98 points.

Team of the Week
Baseball
The Mercyhurst baseball team ended its season by winning four out of six games on the week. The Lakers split a doubleheader with Ashland midweek before taking 3-of-4 from Northwood over the weekend. Steve Grife went 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 14 innings on the week. Joe Luli was 9-for-17 with nine RBI in six games and completed the season on a seven-game hit streak. Jamie Walczak also went 9-for-17 on the week with six runs, five RBI and five stolen bases.
