Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst College junior men's lacrosse goalkeeper Jason LaShomb was named the East Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Week after leading the Lakers to a 9-8 win over Molloy Saturday.

LaShomb, who was named a second team All-American a year ago, made 11 saves in the contest and allowed just one goal in the first half as the Lakers built a 6-1 lead at the break. He added a team-high seven ground balls in the win.

A year ago, LaShomb was named ECC Goalkeeper of the Week five times en route to a first-team all-conference selection. He led the team to the NCAA Division II National Championship game and has a career record of 18-5.
