Women's Varsity Eight Ranked No. 3; Seeded Third At Dad Vail

Erie, Pa. - For the second consecutive week, the Mercyhurst women's rowing varsity eight is ranked No. 3 in the country. The top five did not change from a week ago. Mercyhurst received 14 votes and continue to trail No. 1 Western Washington and No. 2 Dowling. Philadelphia University sits No. 4 and Nova Southeastern is the final team ranked in the top five. In other rowing news, seedings were announced for the Dad Vail Regatta Friday and Saturday. The Dad Vail Regatta is the largest collegiate regatta in the United States, with over 100 colleges and universities competing. Four Mercyhurst crews were seeded. The men's lightweight four will carry the target on its back as the No. 1 seed. The women's varsity eight is seeded third and the men's pair is seeded No. 6. The men's four picked up a No. 7 seed.
