Erie, Pa. - In the Feb. 7 release of the NCAA Division II Wrestling Rankings, Mercyhurst's Hudson Harrison made his first appearance of the season, and Andy Lamancusa moved back in thanks to several impressive victories in the last several weeks.

Hudson was already ranked first in the East Region at 165 pounds and moved from unranked to sixth in Division II. Hudson has won eight consecutive matches to improve to 24-6 on the year.

Lamancusa, also ranked first in the region, opened the season ranked sixth at 157 pounds but eventually fell from the rankings. The 2007 All-American makes his return at No. 8. He won five matches, two by major decision and one by fall, in the month of January, and followed that with an impressive 8-0 major decision win over Ashland's Muhammed Abdur-Rahman, who was 21-4 prior to meeting with Lamancusa.

Junior Brian Pogel remained Mercyhurst's top-ranked wrestler, holding steady in the No. 3 spot after winning nine of his last 11 bouts. He leads the Lakers with 25 wins.

The Lakers dropped three spots in the team rankings from 12th to 15th despite having two wins over Ashland, which was ranked seventh and 11th at the time of the duals.

Mercyhurst hosts region rival Shippensburg Sunday at 1 p.m. Prior to the dual, the Lakers will honor their two seniors, Hudson Harrison and Don Cummings.
