Feb. 26, 2008
Colorado Springs, Colo. - Despite a 1-1 weekend at Wayne State, Mercyhurst remained in the seventh spot in the latest USA Today/USA Hocket women's poll released today. The Lakers, 22-7-3 overall and 7-2-1 in College Hockey America (CHA), close the regular season next weekend with a conference home-and-home series against Robert Morris. The teams play Friday night at 7 at the Ice Center before heading to suburban Pittsburgh for a 7:35 game Saturday. Harvard (27-1-0) retained the top spot and picked up 18 of 19 first-place votes. New Hampshire, which split a weekend series at Mercyhurst last December, picked up the other first-place vote and remained second.
