Mercyhurst Ranked 7th in Latest USA Today/USA Hockey Poll

Colorado Springs, Colo. - The two national polls agree. Mercyhurst remained No. 7 today in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey Women's Poll. USCHO.com's latest rankings, released yesterday, also had the Lakers in the seventh spot. Harvard remained No. 1, followed by New Hampshire and Minnesota Duluth, Mercyhurst's opponent Saturday in the NCAA Quarterfinals. Mercyhurst willl take a 26-7-3 mark to UMD (31-4-1). The Bulldogs have won seven straight and 23 of their last 24. UMD edged Mercyhurst 3-2 in overtime last March in the NCAA Quarterfinals and went 1-0-1 against the Lakers in a late October series in Minnesota. Saturday's game is set for 3:00pm eastern at the Entertainment and Convocation Center in Duluth.
