Agosta and Hosier Gather Postseason Accomplishments

April 5, 2008

Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst sophomore Meghan Agosta scored a pair of goals halfway around the world Friday while former teammate Laura Hosier made the final roster as a goaltender for the West at the Frozen Four Skills Challenge to take place April 11th in Denver.

Agosta's multiple-goal effort came at the Women's World Championship in Harbin, China, as Team Canada opened play with an 8-1 win over Russia. The Canadians play China Sunday in the last of the round-robin games. The qualifying round will take place Tuesday.

Hosier finished her career between the pipes with the most wins (73) and most games played (105). She also finished second in career shutouts with 20. The Skills Challenge will take place at the Pepsi Center as part of the Men's Frozen Four.
