Concordia St. Paul Sweeps Lakers In Season Opener
Feb. 24, 2008 Fort Myers, Fla. - The Mercyhurst softball team opened the 2008 season Sunday with a pair of losses to Concordia St. Paul at the Gene Cusic Tournament in Fort Myers, Fla. The Golden Bears improved to 5-1 with 3-0 and 7-6 victories. Mercyhurst will get a chance to avenge the losses Monday as the Lakers play Concordia St. Paul again at 1 p.m. Prior to that contest, Mercyhurst will play Alma at 11 a.m. In all, Mercyhurst will play eight games at the Gene Cusic Tournament before competing in the Francis Marion Invitational March 7-9. |
