Regis Ends Metro State Win Streak

Regis ended Metro State's seven-match win streak with a 6-4 victory, Saturday afternoon in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) game at Regis Field. Metro took an early 3-0 lead in the game, only to have Regis' Michael Khouri connect for a grand slam in the bottom of the third inning to give the Rangers a 4-3 lead. Metro State then scored a run in the top of the fifth inning to tie the score at four, but Regis struck back for two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Rangers improve to 13-10 overall and 9-6 in the RMAC, while Metro State drops to 23-5 and 15-1. The `Runners return to action next Friday at 3 p.m. when they host Colorado State-Pueblo at Auraria Field. |
