The Metro State baseball team moved up to No. 9 in the Collegaite Baseball Newspaper National Ranking released Monday.

This is the first time in school history the baseball program has earned a Top 10 ranking.

"I think it is very exciting for these guys," Head Coach Bobby Pierce said. "Honestly, at this point, it does not mean very much, we still need to concentrate on each series we have and winning the conference championship."

The 'Runners moved up four spots after sweeping the weekend series from CSU-Pueblo. They are currently 27-5 overall and 19-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). MSDC travels to RMAC rival Nebraska-Kearney four a four-game series this weekend.
