No. 12 Baseball Drops Two Games at CSU-Pueblo

The No. 12 Metro State baseball team lost a pair of non-conference games to CSU-Pueblo, Tuesday in Pueblo, Colo.

Metro entered the bottom of the seventh inning with a 6-3 leadin the first game, but the Thunderwolves connected for five hits to take the victory, 7-6. Senior Pete Klingsmith made his first start of the season for the 'Runners pitching three innings and allowing just one run and four hits.

CSU-Pueblo again used a late charge in the second game, scoring six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 13-6 victory.

Reece Gorman was 4-for-9 on the day for the 'Runners and Dakota Nahm connected for his fifth home run of the a season.

Metro State fell to 36-11 overall and remains 28-4 in the RMAC. The 'Runners return to conference play this Friday at New Mexico Highlands.
