Wagstaff Named RMAC Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. - Metro State junior forward Jesse Wagstaff has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's basketball East Division Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Wagstaff averaged 22.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as Metro State went 1-1 last week. He scored 26 points, including 12-for-14 from the free-throw line, in a loss to Regis, and also had 19 points and nine boards in a win over UC-Colorado Springs. He shot 13-for-21 from the floor in the two contests. It is Metro State's first player of the week honor this season. Chris Childress of CSU-Pueblo earned West Division honors. Metro State, 12-10 overall, is at Chadron State, Jan. 31.
