Roadrunners Go 1-2 During First Day Of Mile High Invitational

DENVER, COLO. -- Metro State went 1-2, defeating Mary before losing to Colorado School of Mines and CSU-Pueblo, during the first day of the Mile High Invitational, Saturday afternoon at Hidden Lakes Complex.

In the first game of the day, Metro State defeated Mary, 5-4, before losing to the Orediggers, 11-6, and CSU-Pueblo, 8-4.

Against Colorado School of Mines, Metro State led 4-2 after three innings but the Orediggers scored nine runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings combined to take the lead. Ashley Johnson went 1-for-4 with three RBI, while Sarah Rusch was 1-for-4 with two RBI. The Roadrunners had four errors in the contest.

Metro State faces UC-Colorado Springs at Hidden Lakes, Sunday.
