CLEVELAND--Following his fourth 30-point scoring effort of the season and leading Miami University's men's basketball team to a key 73-49 win against Ohio on March 1 to place the RedHawks in a tie for third place in the East Division standings with the Bobcats at 8-6, junior forward Michael Bramos was tabbed the Mid-American Conference East Division Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Bramos erupted for 31 points in 28 minutes of action, going 9-of-15 (.600) from the field--including 5-for-9 (.556) from 3-point range--and 8-for-9 (.889) from the free-throw line. It was his fourth 30-point scoring effort of the season and the eighth time he has eclipsed 20 points in 2007-08.

Bramos scored the RedHawks' first nine points of the game and accounted for 19 of Miami's 37 first-half points. He knocked down five 3-pointers for the second game in a row. Bramos also recorded three steals and two blocked shots against the Bobcats.

It is the fifth MAC weekly honor for a Miami player this season and the second for Bramos in 2007-08.
