CLEVELAND--For the second time in three years, three Miami University men's basketball players captured Mid-American Conference postseason honors, the conference office announced on Wednesday (March 12). Senior forward Tim Pollitz (Ottawa, Ohio/Ottawa-Glandorf) garnered First-Team All-MAC honors, marking the third straight year he has been named to an All-MAC Team, while junior forward Michael Bramos (Harper Woods, Mich./Grosse Pointe North) was named to the All-MAC Second Team and junior guard Kenny Hayes (Dayton, Ohio/Northmont) earned Honorable Mention All-MAC honors.

The RedHawks also had three players named to All-MAC teams in 2006 when William Hatcher was a First-Team All-MAC selection and Nathan Peavy and Tim Pollitz were voted Honorable Mention All-MAC. It also marks the fifth straight year Miami has had at least one first-team selection.

Pollitz--who was an Honorable Mention All-MAC selection in 2006 and also earned First-Team All-MAC honors last season--became the first player to be named to an All-MAC team three straight years since Devin Davis was named to the All-MAC First Team in 1995, '96 and '97. Pollitz also became the first player since Wally Szczerbiak in 1998 and '99 to twice garner First-Team All-MAC honors. Pollitz ranks among MAC statistical leaders in eight categories, and averages 16.0 ppg to rank second on the team and leads the RedHawks, averaging 7.0 rpg and 3.07 apg. He owns the Miami record for single-game field goal percentage, which he set last season against Toledo in the MAC Tournament Semifinals. His current .572 career field goal percentage also ranks first at Miami. Last week, Pollitz was one of two MAC players named to the NABC All-District 10 Second Team.

Bramos earned his first All-MAC honor, being named to the second team. He is the first RedHawk to earn second-team accolades since Juby Johnson in 2003. Bramos leads Miami in scoring (16.0 ppg) and blocked shots (36) and ranks among MAC statistical leaders in five categories. He has scored 30 or more points four times this season, including back-to-back 30-point scoring efforts in late November. Twice this season he has been named MAC East Division Player of the Week.

Hayes, who is in his first season with the RedHawks after transferring from Cincinnati State, also earns his first All-MAC honor. He ranks among MAC statistical leaders in five categories. Hayes averages 12.5 ppg and is one of Miami's top 3-point shooters and one of its most solid free-throw shooters. Hayes had scored 20 or more points in five games, including three straight game reaching 20 or more points. He was named MAC East Division Player of the Week on Feb. 4.
