OXFORD - Thanks to a stellar rookie season, freshman forward Carter Camper has been named to the Inside College Hockey Freshman All-America Team.

The selections were made by Inside College Hockey editors and staff, with input from media and coaches from around the country.

The INCH All-America teams are not affiliated with those of the American Hockey Coaches Association, which will release its East and West All-Americans next week.

INCH prefers to see college hockey as a national game -- thus the Freshman All-American Team is not divided on regional lines.

INSIDE COLLEGE HOCKEY 2007-08 FRESHMAN ALL-AMERICA TEAM
Richard Bachman Colorado College Goaltender	Statistics: 25-9-1, 1.85 GAA, .931 sv%. When CC started the season, goaltending was a question mark. Bachman won eight of his first nine starts, and the Tigers won the WCHA regular-season title. Bachman was named as the league's Rookie and Player of the Year.
Cade Fairchild Minnesota Defenseman	Statistics: 40 GP, 2-13--15 The mobile Minnesota defenseman plays the game with his head up and is a difference maker on the ice. He missed four games during the season when he was playing for the U.S. at the World Juniors, but still ranked as their second-highest scoring defenseman.
Jeff Petry Michigan State Defenseman	Statistics: 42 GP, 3-21--24 A big, smart, mobile defender, Petry scored 24 points for the Spartans during his rookie campaign. Chosen by Edmonton in the 2006 entry draft, the Oilers believe Petry has the potential to one day be a no. 1 or no. 2 defenseman in the NHL.
Garrett Roe St. Cloud State Forward	Statistics: 39 GP, 18-27--45 Some might say that his point totals are a reflection of his linemates and those players he's on a power-play unit with. Closer observers know that he helps them as much as he benefits from their skill. He brings tons of energy, talent, and flair to the ice, and had 45 points.
Joe Whitney Boston College Forward	Statistics: 42 GP, 10-40--50 Nathan Gerbe, Ben Smith, Dan Bertram, and Benn Ferriero get the most attention, but Whitney racked up 40 assists for the Frozen Four-bound Eagles. And he's not just a setup man, as evidenced by his game-winning overtime goal in the NCAA Regional final against Miami.
Carter Camper Miami Forward	Statistics: 33 GP, 15-26--41 Despite missing eight games with an ankle injury, Camper was second on the team to Hobey Baker Award finalist Ryan Jones in scoring with 15 goals and 26 assists in 33 games. He had three point streaks of six games or better, including a 10-game run during which he compiled 16 points.
