Cincinnati, Ohio - Enrico Blasi, head coach of Miami University's hockey team, was honored Tuesday evening by the Cincinnati Sports Professional Network as the Sports Executive of the Year.

The Cincinnati Sports Professional Network (CSPN) serves as a networking organization for area sports professionals offering regularly scheduled programs and an annual awards ceremony for the sports business community. CSPN is a program of the Greater Cincinnati Sports Corporation.

In the inaugural award ceremony last year, Cincinnati Bengals' head coach Marvin Lewis and Cincinnati Reds' executive vice president and general manager Wayne Krivsky were named the Co-Sports Executives of the Year.

The award comes after Blasi guided his team to a 33-win season, the most in school history. Blasi has built Miami's hockey program into a national powerhouse, making appearances in the NCAA Tournament the past three seasons, and four times in five years.
