CLEVELAND - Following a second-place finish out of the Mid-American Conference schools in the MAC/Sun Belt Championships, 11 members of Miami University's men's swimming and diving team earned first- and second-team All-MAC honors, the conference announced today.

Senior Paul Ricard and junior Chris Heaton were named to the All-MAC First Team and the two earned individual honors as well. Ricard was named the Most Outstanding Senior Swimmer, while Heaton was named the Most Outstanding Diver. Ricard, who was named MAC Swimmer of the Year in 2005-06 and 2006-07, earned his fourth First-Team All-MAC selection, while Heaton was selected to the First-Team All-MAC squad and Most Outstanding Diver for the third consecutive year.

Joining Ricard and Heaton as First-Team All-MAC selections are senior Ryan McHugh, junior Scott DuCharme, sophomore Michael Carroll and freshman Darin Smith. McHugh is a two-time All-MAC performer, earning Second-Team All-MAC plaudits last season. DuCharme, Carroll and Smith are all first-time All-MAC recipients.

A member of each class earned Second-Team All-MAC accolades led by senior Blake Norman. Junior Nick DuPuis, sophomore Austin Kosier, sophomore Dave Brown and freshman Jason Hass rounded out Miami's All-MAC recipients. DuPuis is a three-time All-MAC performer, earning second-team accolades in 2005-06 and first-team honors last season. This is Norman's second consecutive All-MAC selection after being named First-Team All-MAC last season. Brown is making his second appearance on the All-MAC Second Team, while Kosier and Hass both earned their first All-MAC honors.
