OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University senior forward Alyssa Nye (Bernville, Pa.) has been named the MAC Field Hockey Player of the Week.

Nye scored four goals in two games this week, leading the RedHawks to a pair of wins against Ball State and Central Michigan. On Saturday, she celebrated Senior Day at the Miami Turf Field by recording her third career hat trick in MU's 4-2 win over the Chippewas.

The night prior to her scoring outburst, Nye scored a goal and had an assist in Miami's 3-1 win over the Cardinals.On the year, Nye has eight goals and five assists and has become Miami's all-time assist leader with 27.
