OXFORD, Ohio -

Miami University senior forward Taylor Florence has been selected to play in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Senior All-Star Game.

Florence ended the 2007 regular season with four goals and six assists and has totaled 19 goals and 21 assists as a four-year starter at Miami. She three time All-MAC honoree and has been named to the all-conference first team twice. She has also been named to the STX/NFHCA All-West Region second team twice, while earning two MAC Offensive Player of the Week awards in her career.

The All-Star game will take place on Saturday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Maryland in College Park, Md. A total of 40 players will participate in the contest with three players, including Florence, coming from the Mid-American Conference.

A native of Louisville, Ky., Florence is a speech communication major and will lead the RedHawks as they host the MAC Tournament this Thursday, Friday and Saturday (November 1-3). Miami opens play on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. against Missouri State University.
