OXFORD, Ohio - Miami fans already planning to attend Saturday's football game against Buffalo at 3 p.m. can are encouraged to help push the RedHawk field hockey squad to the NCAA Tournament by attending the RedHawks' MAC Field Hockey Tournament Championship Game at the Miami Turf Field next to Yager Stadium at noon.

Aside from adding to the strong voice of loyal Miami field hockey fans, RedHawk football fans have another incentive for attending the MAC Championship game against the top-seeded #15 Ohio University Bobcats; free parking.

Fans that arrive between 9 a.m. and noon for the field hockey and football games can park in the Millett West Lot at no charge. Starting at noon, $7 will be charged for football game day parking in the Millett West Lot.

The RedHawks won a dramatic MAC semi-final match up against Kent State on Friday on the strength of two goals from senior forward Taylor Florence, including a score off a penalty stroke in the 67th minute.

A growing crowd at the Miami Turf Field seemed to inspire a second-half surge in the RedHawks as they outshot the second-seeded Flashes 10-5 over the final 35 minutes.

This is only the second time that Miami has advanced to the MAC Tournament Championship game, and a berth in the NCAA Tournament is on the line.

Tickets for the championship game are $10. The price for students with a valid college ID is $2.

The field hockey admissions gates will open at 11 a.m.
