OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University midfielder Danielle Gaynor has been honored as a member Academic All-Mid-American Conference Field Hockey Team after a stellar junior season for the RedHawks.

Gaynor, a native of San Diego, Calif., was most recently named to the MAC All-Tournament Team after scoring two goals in three games as Miami advanced to the tournament championship game before falling in overtime to the #15 Ohio University Bobcats. She was named to the All-MAC second team following the regular season as well.

A double-major in management and organizations, and sport studies, Gaynor has a 3.67 GPA.

A junior, Gaynor ended the season with six goals and four assists, ranking third on the Miami squad with 16 total points. Her best statistical performance came in game one of the season when she had a goal and two assists in a 6-0 win over Longwood on Aug. 25.

The RedHawks ended the 2007 season with a 10-11 record overall and a 6-4 mark in the MAC. They advanced to the MAC Tournament Championship game for just the second time in program history.
