Results

COASTAL CAROLINA, S.C. - The Miami University women's track and field squad finished up competition at the Shamrock Invitational on the campus of Coastal Carolina on Saturday.

Alexis Lape and Alisha Jones were second and third in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 1:02.64 and 1:02.67, respectively.

Kristina Bolterstein took second in the high jump, narrowly falling in a jump-off, but clearing 5-8 ¾. Kristen Mathews and Katelyn Kelly were fourth and seventh, respectively, clearing 5-5 and 5-3.

Erin Frazer took eighth in the javelin, marking at 118-2. Nicki Mitchell was 11th in the long jump with a leap of 17-4 ¼. Brittney Bernardoni cleared 11-5 ¾ in the pole vault, good for fourth place.

The RedHawk 4X100 relay team of Betsy Allen, Margarita Pogorelov, Alexis Lape and DeLana Turner took seventh with a time of 48.01. Pogorelov would take fourth in both the 100-meter dash at 12.07 and the 200-meter dash at 25.02, while Allen would take 12th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.45.
 

 

Lape, Ruth Rasch, Andrea Tepe, and Betsy Allen took fifth place in the 4X400 relay with a time of 3:56.58.

Amanda Mirochna and Jennie Stoll were fifth and seventh, respectively, in the 1500-meters, finishing in 4:41.46 and 4:44.20.

Katie Lenahan finished in 2:16.44 in the 800-meters, good for eighth place.

Miami will next host the Southern Ohio Cup on March 29 at the George L. Rider Track on the Miami campus.
