Potter Finishes Tied for 10th at NCAA East Regional

ATHENS, Ga. - - Mizzou sophomore Julia Potter finished in a tie for 10th place at the NCAA East Regional in Athens, Ga. The regional concluded on Saturday with the Tigers finishing in 14th place with a three-round total of 925 after a final round 300 on Saturday.

Potter shot an even-par 72 in Saturday's final round, finishing with a 54-hole score of 220. She finished in a three-way tie for 10th place. Benedicte Toumpsin of South Carolina won the individual competition with a three-round score of 214.

The top eight teams in the field and the top three individual finishes who are not members of the advancing teams qualify for the NCAA Championships, which will take place on May 20-23 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Florida won the regional with a final total of 883, one shot ahead of second-place Duke.

Sophomore Michelle Morgan finished in tie foe 61st place with a three-day total of 233, one shot ahead of redshirt freshman Lindsey Haupt, who placed in a tied for 65th spot with a 234 total. Senior Madde Augustsson tied for 80th place with a 54-hole score of 238 and junior Chelsea Schriewer placed in a tie for 96th place with a 245 score.
