The last time a Missouri team took on one of the three teams selected for the Iowa City regional was 2005 when the Tigers bested Iowa, 3-1 at the Louisville Courtyard Red and Black Tournament in Louisville, Ky.

The winner of the Iowa City, Iowa Regional will take on the winner of the Tuscaloosa, Ala., regional in a Super Regional Tournament, May 23-24. Teams in the Tuscaloosa, Ala., regional include third seeded Alabama, Chattanooga, Jacksonville State and Florida State.
