EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State men's golfers Ryan Brehm and Randy Hutchison were selected to the Division I PING All-Midwest Region Team, recently announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Brehm was named to the team for the third-consecutive season, while Hutchison earns the honor for the first time.

Brehm, who completed his eligibility his spring, had his most successful season as a Spartans as a senior. He won four tournaments, setting a new program single-season record, in addition to placing in the top-four in seven of the team's 12 events. The Mount Pleasant, Mich., native also ranked No. 38 nationally by Golfweek/Sagarin and posted a season stroke average of 72.59, which is third-best in a MSU single-season.

Brehm is a four-time member of the All-Big Ten teams, having been a first team selection as a sophomore and senior, and a second team choice as a freshman and junior. This season, he placed second at the Big Ten Championships, the third time Brehm has garnered runner-up honors at the conference championship.

Brehm ends his Michigan State career with five individual titles and a scoring average of 73.30, both program records.

Hutchison, a Traverse City, Mich., native, continues to add recognition after his breakout junior season. A First Team All-Big Ten selection, Hutchison scored a career-low 74.10 stroke average this season, the 13th-lowest mark in program history. At the Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate, Hutchison posted a career-best finish and score, by placing second with a three-round 215. Hutchison ended the season, second on the squad with six top-20 finishes in his 10 tournaments this season. He will ended his senior season with a 75.08 career scoring average, which is ninth on the MSU career list.

The PING All-Region teams consist of the top 15 individuals in their region in the Individual Ranking System. Additionally, any player ranked in the top 75 according to Golfstat or the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings not included in their region's top 15 are added to their All-Region team. Members of the PING All-Region teams are eligible for PING All-America honors.
