Recap |  Final Stats |  Quotes

• This marks Michigan State's ninth 20-win season in program history. MSU has won 20 or more games five consecutive seasons, dating back to the 2002-03 season.

Suzy Merchant is the second coach in MSU basketball history - men or women - to record 20 wins in her first season. This marks her fifth 20-win season of her career (one at Saginaw Valley State; three at Eastern Michigan). Karen Langeland, the winningest coach in MSU women's basketball history, went 23-6 her first season in 1976-77. No men's coach at MSU has ever won 20 games in his first season.

Allyssa DeHaan recorded four blocks, giving her 132 for her career, which is third best in Big Ten single-season history. She owns the Big Ten record with 145, a record she set last season.

Kalisha Keane scored at least 20 points for the fourth time this season...she moved up to second on MSU's freshman scoring list...she now has 404 points this season, second only to Allyssa DeHaan's 411 points from one year ago.

Brittney Thomas now has 120 assists this season, good for second on the MSU freshman assists chart...she passed Kristin Haynie, who had 117 assists her freshman season...Vnemnia Reese owns the freshman record with 143 assists in 1999-2000.

• Making its fourth appearance in the WNIT, MSU has never lost in its first game of the tournament...MSU is 8-3 all-time in the WNIT.
