• Michigan State has won nine of its last 11 games...the Spartans improve to 12-4 at home and have won seven straight at the Breslin Center.

• The Spartans claimed the season series over Michigan, 2-1...MSU has won 11 of the past 12 meetings against the Wolverines...MSU has won six in a row over Michigan at the Breslin Center...MSU leads the overall series against Michigan, 52-15.

• Michigan State is now 9-1 in games decided by five points or less.

• This marks the second straight comeback for Michigan State over Michigan this season...the Spartans trailed by eight points, 53-45, with 6:30 to go in the game on Jan. 31 in East Lansing before closing the game on a 16-5 run to win, 61-58...this time, MSU was trailing by nine, 37-28, with 6:26 remaining and closed the second half on a 9-0 run to tie the game and send it into overtime...MSU outscored Michigan in overtime, 8-3, to close the game's final 11:26 on a 17-3 run...Michigan was held without a field goal that entire stretch and was held scoreless from the 6:26 mark in the second half until 35 seconds left in overtime.

• Michigan State improves to 22-13 on the season...the 22 wins tie for the fifth most in school history. Below is a look at MSU's top winning seasons:

Allyssa DeHaan became the fifth player in MSU history to score 500 points in a single-season...with her 13 points in the game, she now has 505 for the year, which ranks sixth most in a Spartan season...the other players to score 500 points are Liz Shimek (twice), Kisha Kelly (twice), Maxann Reese and Lindsay Bowen.

• DeHaan recorded four blocks, giving her 140 this season, ranking second in Big Ten single-season history...she is just five blocks behind her own Big Ten record of 145 she set last season.
 

 

• DeHaan was 7-for-10 from the line...her 112 made free throws this season rank fifth best in school history.

Kalisha Keane scored all 15 of her points in the second half and overtime...Keane tied her career high with four steals and also had eight rebounds...she tied the game at 37 with a 3-pointer at the 1:35 mark that sent the game into overtime.

Brittney Thomas grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds.

• This marks Michigan State's first overtime victory over Michigan (1-3).

• MSU is now 3-0 against Michigan in the postseason (1995 Big Ten Tournament, 1999 WNIT Second Round, 2008 WNIT Quarterfinals).

• Michigan State will be making its second appearance in the WNIT semifinals...the Spartans lost at Oregon in the 2002 semifinals, 65-54...MSU is 10-3 all-time in the WNIT.

• Michigan State has won 12 postseason games the past five years, the most of any Big Ten team.

• The Spartans are the last Big Ten team remaining in the postseason.

• Michigan State's 22 wins are tied with Ohio State for the most in the Big Ten this season.

• Today marked MSU's first overtime game of the season...MSU has won its last eight overtime games, dating back to 2004...MSU is 16-16 all-time in overtime games.

• Neither team scored a field goal in overtime...MSU shot 8-for-10 from the free-throw line in overtime (DeHaan: 3-for-4).

• Michigan shot a season-low 21 percent from the field (13-for-61).
