COMING UP
The Michigan State women's tennis team goes on the road for two Big Ten matchups against No. 25 Indiana on Saturday, March 28 at 3 p.m., and No. 31 Ohio State on Sunday, March 30 at 11 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Michigan State put on an impressive performance at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility on Wednesday afternoon, blowing out No. 35 Washington, 6-1. The Spartans came out on fire, sweeping the doubles competition. Michigan State kept the momentum as it rolled through singles play, downing the Huskies in five of six flights.
The Spartans looked dominating in the opening doubles session, sweeping the Huskies in all three matches, and taking the early 1-0 lead. Manon Noe and Ana Milosavljevic struck first for MSU with an 8-6 win over Kelsey Anonsen and Venise Chan at No. 2. Stephanie Kebler and Lindsey Lonergan secured the doubles point shortly after, picking up their sixth win in seven matches at No. 3, as they defeated Aleksandra Malovic and Vanja Radunovic, 8-4. At No. 1, Christine Bader and Whitney Wilson completed the sweep for the Spartans, taking out Joyce Ardies and Tara Simpson, 8-5.
There was no letting up for Michigan State in the singles flights, as Kebler made short work of Washington's Malovic in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2. At No. 5 singles MSU's Wilson punctuated her 6-4, 6-3 win, acing Vanja Radunovic on match point, while MSU's No. 1 Bader secured the match for the Spartans with a big win over No. 30 Chan, 6-2, 1-6, 6-4. MSU's No. 6, Michelle Murphy, was the next Spartan on the board, downing Anonsen in a super-tie breaker, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9). Noe capped off Michigan State's rout of Washington, taking out No. 99 Tara Simpson, 7-5, 7-5.
SCOUTING THE HOOSIERS
The Indiana Hoosiers are 14-3 on the season and 3-0 in conference play, and are currently rated No. 25 in the latest national rankings. Senior Brianna Williams leads the team in singles wins on the season, going 16-1 in dual-match play, and posting a record of 25-4 on the year. Freshman Charlotte Martin in 13-4 in dual-match play, while posting a mark of 10-4 at No. 3 singles. Williams and freshman Myriam Sopel lead the team in doubles wins going 8-1 at No. 3, and currently hold an eight-match win streak.
A LOOK AT THE BUCKEYES
No. 31 Ohio State has won 10 of its last 11 matches, and now holds a record of 14-3 (2-1 Big Ten). Freshman Cami Hubbs has a mark of 14-2 in singles dual-match play, while junior Julie Blackmore leads the team in wins, posting a 15-1 record. Both Hubbs and Blackmore are undefeated in their last 10 outings. In doubles play, Hubbs and Blackmore have teamed up for the team lead in wins, going 15-2 at No. 2 doubles. They are currently on a 12-match win streak.
ON FIRE
Stephanie Kebler has posted four-straight wins in singles for the Spartans, and now holds a 10-4 record in dual-match play. Kebler has teamed up with Lindsey Lonergan at No. 3 doubles, winning six of their last seven matches.
KEY PLAYER
Junior Ana Milosavljevic is having an outstanding season for the Green and White, as she leads the team in singles (18) and doubles (19) wins. In dual-match play this spring, Milosavljevic has posted a mark of 10-4 in singles and 12-4 in doubles play.
SINGLES SUCCESS
The Spartans have a winning record at all six of the singles positions in dual-match play so far. MSU's best records have come from freshman Lindsey Lonergan (10-4) at No. 4, and junior Stephanie Kebler (9-4) at No. 3.

Michigan State returns home for matchups with No. 57 Minnesota on Saturday, April 5 and No. 45 Iowa on Sunday, April 6. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility in East Lansing
