League action continued on Saturday, with road teams prevailing in three of the four contests.  

San Diego State 69, BYU 65
San Diego, Calif. Sat., Feb. 23, 2008
  • San Diego State defeats Brigham Young at Cox Arena for the fifth straight season, snapping the nation's seventh longest active win streak at nine games. It was the Cougars first loss since Jan. 15.
  • This is the third straight season the Aztecs and Cougars has split the season series. SDSU has won five of the last eight games played between the teams.
  • SDSU's Lorrenzo Wade scored a career high 28 points, surpassing his previous mark of 23 set earlier this season.
  • Tonight's attendance of 9,776 is a season high and the 16th-largest crowd in Cox Arena history.

Air Force 61, Colorado State 59
Fort Collins, Colo. Sat., Feb. 23, 2008
  • Air Force beat Colorado State for the 11th consecutive time in the regular season.
  • Air Force's Anwar Johnson and Andrew Henke scored 14 points each. Henke also pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds to become the first Falcon player to notch a double-double this season.
  • In the first half, Colorado State went 16:05 without a two-point basket, scoring all 24 points on three-pointers, the longest CSU has gone in a half without a two in the last 30 years. The Rams were 8-of-9 from beyond the arc during that stretch.

  • CSU's Andre McFarland had a career-high three blocked shots vs. The Falcons.

New Mexico 72, Utah 71
Salt Lake City, Utah Sat., Feb. 23, 2008
  • UNM nips Utah 72-71, extending its winning streak to 6 games and snapping an 18-game losing streak to the Utes in Salt Lake City.
  • The Lobos have won 6 straight conference games for the first time since a 6-game streak from Feb. 14-March 5, 2005.
  • Steve Alford has tied Dave Bliss for most wins by a New Mexico head coach in his rookie season. Bliss was 22-11 in 1988-89
  • New Mexico's J.R. Giddens finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals
  • Utah's Johnnie Bryant reached double digits in the first half. This is the sixth consecutive game Bryant has scored in double figures and the 19th time this season. It is also Bryant's 63rd career double-figure scoring game.

UNLV 73, Wyoming 65
Laramie, Wyo. Sat., Feb. 23, 2008
  • UNLV's Wink Adams collected a double-double, scoring 23 points and pulling down 10 rebounds to lead the Rebels.
  • With his 20 points today, Brandon Ewing moved ahead of Tony Windis (1,465 points between 1957-59) into sole possession of 13th place on UW's all-time scoring list. Ewing has now scored 1,483 career points as a Cowboy.
  • The Cowboys committed a season low 10 turnovers in today's game. The previous season low was 11 on two occasions,at Denver and at San Diego State.
