Home teams post 4-0 record in league action Saturday

Home teams went 4-0 in MWC men's basketball action on Saturday. League-leading BYU stretched its nation-long win streak in the Marriott Center to 46 games with a 76-57 victory over Air Force, while UNLV collected its 11th consecutive win in the Thomas & Mack Center by defeating TCU, 74-55. In other league tilts, San Diego State cruised past Colorado State (86-62) and Wyoming beat Utah, 72-64.

- BYU extends its school- and MWC-record home win streak to 46 games. The Cougars have won 23 consecutive games at home vs. MWC opponents, also a league record.
- At 23-6, BYU is off to its best record since 1992-93, when the Cougars were also 23-6 after 29 games.
- With a 26-24 lead at the break, BYU broke the game wide open with a 16-0 run early in the second half.

- UNLV has won five of its last six games.
- The Runnin' Rebels went on a 12-4 run in the opening four minutes of the second half to take a double digit lead, which they maintained for the remainder of the contest.
- UNLV was 16-of-27 (59.3%) from the field in the second half and finished the game shooting 50 percent overall.

- San Diego State has won at least 19 games in three consecutive seasons for the first time since doing so in 1938-39, 1939-40 and 1940-41.
- Aztec junior Lorrenzo Wade dished out a career-high 11 assists, tying for the most by an MWC player this season.
- SDSU led wire-to-wire en route to picking up its ninth win in 11 tries vs. Colorado State.

- Wyoming swept the regular-season series with Utah for the first time since the 2001-02 season.
- Brandon Ewing became only the 12th Cowboy in school history to score 1,500 career points. He finished with 14 points in the game to push his career total to 1,507.
- The Cowboys converted 26-of-27 free throws today (96.3 percent), marking the second-highest single-game shooting percentage in MWC history.
